Anthony L. Mikula, M.D., is a fellowship trained spine neurosurgeon with expertise in spinal deformity, cervical deformity, and spine tumor surgery. He completed multiple dedicated fellowships in spinal deformity, cervical deformity, and spine tumors. His goal is to work with each patient to develop a treatment strategy that is right for them and that utilizes the teamwork and strong multidisciplinary nature of the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Mikula is a leader in spine outcomes research with the main objective of improving the ability to provide a durable surgical solution for patients that maximizes their function and quality of life while avoiding complications. He actively publishes his work in addition to presenting at meetings both nationally and internationally. He is involved in global spine society organizations as well as multicenter research groups.
